Negroni Week at St. Vincent
Few cocktails have encouraged more riffs on the original than the Negroni. Said to have been invented by Count Camillo Negroni in the early 20th century when at Bar Casoni in Florence, he requested his usual (an Americano) be strengthened by Gin.
What was born out of that request was a cocktail, refreshingly bitter and dry, that has not only stood the test of time but is also a true classic, sitting comfortably amongst the Martini and Manhattan in the pantheon of classics.
Folks love to riff on the original and we’re not immune, to celebrate Negroni Week our man Dan’s created a ‘Happy Hour’ menu take-over available Tuesday 19th to Thursday 21st September where all Negronis are £6 each 4pm ’til 7pm.
